Chronic or persistent pain is pain that lasts for more than 3 months, or in many cases, beyond normal healing time. It is different from acute pain, such as pain from an injury, which develops quickly and doesn't usually last for long.

Chronic pain is a complex condition, and everyone experiences it differently. The pain can range from mild to severe and is experienced on most days

Causes of Chronic Pain

Chronic pain is usually caused by an initial injury, such as a back sprain or pulled muscle. It’s believed that chronic pain develops after nerves become damaged. The nerve damage makes the pain more intense and long-lasting. In these cases, treating the underlying injury may not resolve the chronic pain.

In some cases, however, people experience chronic pain without any prior injury. If you have chronic pain, you will also need other treatments such as self-management, physical activity, and psychological approaches.

Chronic pain can be very discomforting, and can also cause distractions from doing regular activities. When you find yourself having chronic pain, use Forpain for fast relief.
