We all can agree that 2020 was a tremendous year having a lot of situations such as  COVID-19 outbreak, EndSARS protest and recession. Most times we create New Year resolutions every year without achieving them because of bad habits.

The science to achieving what you want and who you want to be is not so much learning the art of goal setting and brilliant planning. It has much more to do with dropping the habits that are holding you back right now. Bad habits are the routine thinking and things we do both consciously and unconsciously that sabotage achieving our goal. Here are few habits that we should note when taking steps to achieve our goals for 2021.

Procrastination: Procrastination is a no-brainer. It is the force that prevents you from following through on what you set out to do. Remove yourself from all that mind chatter.

Racing After Multiple Goals: Often high achievers want to do it all at once. Ask yourself, is doing such-and-such going to support my goal, or is it a distraction for a purpose that in fact takes me away from my ultimate purpose and goal. Remember, we can have quite a few great goals, but to put in the energy, time and investment will mean a distraction from the big one.

Being In Your Head: “Don’t think too much. You’ll create a problem that wasn’t even there in the first place” (Unknown). Stop being in your head all the time, thinking, planning, re-doing the plan, etc. Getting to that ultimate dream goal is about learning the art of innovating, and that can only happen by breaking the pattern of thinking and being that keeps you small and taking the right steps.

We can  also inhabit some habit that could help us achieve our goals in 2021 such as;

Focusing  Forward & Visualizing  Your Dream: As you focus forward, imagine beautiful opportunities appearing before you.

Break down  Your Plans Into Little Pieces: ! By breaking it down into little pieces, you avoid becoming derailed before you even begin. Grab a pen or your computer and write down your desire. Then write what needs to be done.

Be Confident & Positive: This is the backbone for all the other tips to reach your dreams. The more positive you are, the more you are open to opportunities and success.

Don’t Listen to Negative People: Don't listen to them! If you feel in your heart your dream is possible and you want to achieve it, then you CAN have it. Always remember the law of attraction.
